Vinnie with Joni Mitchell??

Hey, I've heard of, and I think I saw in a store, the DVD of Joni Mitchell with Vinnie on drums. Does anybody know the name of that DVD? Info would be greatly appreciated. [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

It's called Refugee of the Road.

It's a kinda documentary thing produced by Joni herself. However there are some Vinnie Moments happening there!

AT the same price you can get the "Shadows and Light" Concert DVD. Even though it isn't Vinnie, Don Alias plays very musically and great percussion work. the band itself speaks for itself;

Joni Mitchell, Guitar/Vocal, Pat Metheny/Guitar, Jaco Pastorious/Bass, Lyle Mays/Keyboards, Don Alias/Drums/Perc and Michael Brecker/Tenor Saxophone.

This is one of the best Joni Mitchell concerts ever released on CD or DVD, you never get tired of it. Get that BEFORE the Refugee of the Road.

There're not many Great distributed Vinnie DVD's out there. The best IMO is the Faith Hill one.

There are so many DVD's with greater muscial quality than the ones Vince are playing on. Don't misunderstand me, I love vinnie, but the DVDs are watching where Vinnie is playing is the ones i got off DIME.

Another great DVD to buy is the new Sting "Bring on the Night" Omar Hakim plays so gooooood! i'm loving it!

Hey Klemme, thankx!!!Yeah, I've seen "Shadows and Light" and I enjoyed it tremendously.It is on my "to buy" list...as are like 25 other DVDs and 50 cds [img]tongue.gif[/img] That band was incredible!!!!Yeah, Don Alias was great, and Jaco, Brecker....!!! Which is the Faith Hill DVD??WOW i'm out of the loop.Thankx for the advice and info.

the Faith Hill DVD with Vinnie is called when the lights go down.

There's also the Julia Frodham that's live dvd with vince, but my teacher bought it and he said its not really worth buying, what do u guys think?

You might also want to check out Joni's album "Wild Things Run Fast". There are some nice Vinnie moments on there as well including "You Dream Flat Tires".

That tune alone is worth the price of admission.

The Julia Fordham DVD is pretty tame. But I believe you can ALWAYS learn from watching. Don't have to be burnin' to see cool stuff.
